Day 340 – The day I become a fully certified and registered Dharma Yoga Teacher… There are no words, except: so incredibly honoured, and so, so grateful. Let the journey begin… =) =) =) / I may have gotten straight A’s and a First Class Honours degree from Goldsmith’s… but can I just say… this certification has been more invaluable and is worth so much more than any one of those things. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart. / T-Rex Trying to me is like what the Bunny Suicide cartoons are to other people… addictive! It’s crazy how hard this makes me laugh. If I had wallpaper made out of T-Rex Trying images… I swear I would wake up laughing for the rest of my life… What a GREAT idea… Actually… I’m gonna go print some out now… / This scene from Meet the Robinsons… well, let’s just say it is a continuation of my joy =p / Doodles Anonymous… can’t even remember how I found it… but I’m glad I did =) Note to self: must draw more. My response: ok. when are you going to give me time to draw? – Darn, I guess I can appreciate these for now 😉 x
Day 271: Happy boss and happy clients, Fiona’s birthday lunch, DJ’s laugh, Hayfever and This new singing habit of mine…

Grateful for the end of another successful and productive business trip. As an Account Manager, there is nothing more rewarding than having a happy boss and a happy client. =) My work is done… (for now!) / Grateful for lunch at Bistro de la Gare with Fiona, Jo, Tim and Zahur. Short but sweet. I did not have the raclette this time but good to know I don’t have to go all the way to Borough Market to get some! / Thank you Deej and Dani for organising theatre tickets tonight. Hayfever was hilarious, and being at the theatre in general was such a nice treat. Now write this blog in the manner of the word… winsome! 😉 (awhhh shucks!) / DJ’s laugh. In all its variations… Grateful!! I think my favourite one is the one I call THUNDER. I tell you, when DJ laughs like this, you feel it vibrating around the cavern and in between all the ribs of your ribcage! Powerful stuff indeed! And scarily, mightily infectious! MUAHAHAHAHA. / So here’s the thing. Over the last couple of weeks or so… I have begun to sing… A LOT. Sing AND hum… EVERYWHERE. At work. In the shower. On the tube. On the way to work. Coming home from work. With friends. On my own. Consciously. Unconsciously. It’s madness! It’s happiness! It’s gratitude… It’s sooo out of tune. / Maoz – probably the closest thing I’ve come to my Just Salad salads since I’ve come back from New York. YUM! Thank you Mr. Maoz for my free falafel and avocado. Nice and very much appreciated surprise =)
Day 128: The Expressionism of Ballet, Homemade Spaghetti Bolognese and The Push that Comes to Shove…

I never really appreciated or thought much for ballet before, but after watching the Black Swan (and I know that probably doesn’t even come close to the real deal!), I have to say how beautiful and enrapturing this is to watch. Some people tell stories by acting. Others write. Ballerinas, they tell stories with every contortion, twist and control of their bodies, through the form, interpretation and expression of dance. Glad to have one in the family =) / Sometimes, you need the gale force of a push to shove you over the edge, because that is the only way you can soar. Today I am grateful for another opportunity to fly. Life is too short to burn your fuse over trifling matters. If you’re not happy about something, stop moaning and do something about it. I tell you, the second you flip that switch in your head and decide enough is enough… man… now that is liberating! =) / Thanks Aunty Donna for the massive pot of spaghetti bolognese, and the opportunity to have one last meal with my Dad before he heads back to Hong Kong. See you all soon x / Sue, Kav, Kat, Cribz, Kan… it has been a pleasure =) x

– Cabeza de Campesino Catalan 2, Joan Miro –
The Miro exhibit at the Tate is, in a word: mesmerizing.
This was one of my favourite’s.
Thanks, Sue, for the head’s up.
And Kavesh/Jason for the free corporate pass.
What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon =)
On a bone-chilling, crisp morning you gotta love the feel of a toasty, warm sweater wrapped around your goosepimply skin.
And after another late train ride home, with tired forms and hungry stomachs, you gotta give thanks to the chatty storekeeper that recommends a good bottle of Pinot Noir. Conclusion? Lobster Reef Pinot Noir is, despite it’s cheap appearances, actually very good. Not as dark-chocolatey-rich or full-bodied as other Pinot’s I’m used to. But extremely palatable and easy to drink. A bit too easy in fact!) As Master Sommelier Madeline Triffon quite rightly puts it: a good Pinot Noir is “like sex in a glass”. Cheers to that!
Special thanks to the Raj Tandoori restaurant down the road for whipping up a last minute order before closing.
In short? A bit of downtime with old school friends in the afternoon, a bit of art and culture in the evening, and another good bottle of red and a curry before bed.
What more can a girl ask for? =)
